Congratulations on your tattoo. Please read all the aftercare instructions to ensure your tattoo will heal as you expect. If you have any questions please call the shop. If you have any problems with your tattoo such as infection etc., contact your doctor for medical advice.
1.Wash your hands any time you are going to touch your tattoo.
2.Gently remove the bandage from your tattoo after 1-4 hours.
If bandage is stuck to your tattoo, wet the bandage and slide it off. Don’t force its removal.
3.Cleanse the area with aftercare soap and lukewarm water.
Work up a lather in hands and use finger tips to remove excess ointment. Be gentle with your tattoo.
4.Pat the tattoo dry with a clean towel. Let the tattoo dry completely.
About 10 mins.
5.Lightly work a small amount of aftercare ointment or lotion over the tattoo.
Carefully wipe away any excess lotion.
6.Repeat the process 3 to 5 times a day for 2 weeks. You do not need to rebandage your tattoo.
As it heals expect peeling and itching much like a sunburn.
Only use products formulated for tattoo healing.
X. Avoid direct sunlight.
X. Avoid baths, pools, hot tubs and the oceans.
These could cause infection and over saturate your tattoo causing loss of pigment.
X. Do not pick scabs!Your tattoo will be dry and peely as it heals, do not scratch your tattoo. Lotion will relieve the itch.
If it’s driving you crazy you can slap your tattoo through clothing.
The 1stnight before bed you can re-bandage your tattoo with plastic wrap.
If not it may stick to clothing or bed sheets, potentially staining them with ink and blood. Yuck!
Total healing time will be about 2 weeks. Continuing with a plain, unscented, water-based hand lotion will keep your tattoo looking brighter longer. After healing is completed, you should use sunblock on your tattoo when outdoors.
